We at HALO understand that every person’s needs are different and, therefore, people should have more than one choice when it comes to selecting a life-affirming advance directive. HALO provides the LAMP (Life-Affirming Medical Proxy), but it is not the only life-protective advance directive that we endorse. Both American Life League and Life Guardian Foundation offer excellent healthcare advance directives and information.
American Life League’s Pro-Life Healthcare Directive with Durable Power of Attorney tells your doctor and other healthcare personnel how to take care of you should you become so sick that you are unable to communicate your wishes. The PLHD ensures life-affirming medical treatment and care, including food, water, and oxygen.
Over 30 years ago, ALL developed a document called the Loving Will as an alternative to the living wills frequently promoted by the culture of death. Realizing that the changes in our culture now pose even greater threats to the sick or those nearing the end of their lives, ALL updated it with the help of lawyers and euthanasia experts and changed the name to Pro-Life Healthcare Directive in 2024. ALL’s PLHD instructs your family, friends, and healthcare providers to do nothing intentionally—by act or omission—to cause your death.
